What Micro1 does
Micro1 connects vetted professionals with AI training and evaluation projects. Its AI recruiter, Zara, interviews candidates for 20–40 minutes; those who pass are certified into a pool and matched to projects. Experts are paid in US dollars through Deel, twice a month.
The company raised a $35 million Series A in September 2025 at a $500 million valuation. Its public job board is unusually transparent for this category: listings carry pay ranges, reported at roughly $22–$70 per hour for generalist roles and up to $200+ per hour for deep specialists. Certification makes an expert eligible for projects; it does not guarantee one.
Micro1 also runs an Enterprise Data Partnerships program — its “Monetize your company’s operational data” offer — buying and licensing companies’ operating records (emails, documents, tickets, workflow data) to build training environments. Its partnerships page publishes value tiers of $100K–$500K, $500K–$2M and $2M+ by scope, and press coverage reports a $1 billion, 12-month data-buying program and a $50,000 referral bonus for approved introductions (Fast Company, October 2026). That program is why Micro1 is also this platform’s sell-side route (see our sell-your-data guide).
Strengths
- Published per-role pay ranges — rare transparency on the expert side of the market
- AI-led interview vetting makes hard-to-staff specialisms searchable
- Clear payment rails for experts: USD via Deel, twice monthly
Considerations
- Company-side pricing is not published — commercial terms are per engagement
- Certification does not guarantee project matching, which experts should know before investing time in vetting
- Smaller and younger than Mercor; its public footprint is thinner
